Taylor Swift’s single I Knew You Were Trouble is reportedly an ode to her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.
The former couple dated on and off last year.
They are believed to have called it quits after the One Direction singer was pictured kissing a model in Australia.
Immediately after they split the first time, 23-year-old Taylor was back in the studio recording one of her notorious break-up songs.
Radar Online reports her recent chart topper is about Harry’s cheating ways.
‘Taylor was crushed over Harry the first time they dated, and like she always does, she penned a song about him to deal with her broken heart,’ a source told the website.
‘I Knew You Were Trouble is one hundred per cent about Harry,’ the insider said.
‘She knew he was young and popular with the ladies and wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, but somehow hoped she could make it work.’
The pair gave it another shot but failed to work out their issues, calling it quits for good over the New Year.
The lyrics on the track could hint at details behind the breakdown of the relationship.
‘Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in/So shame on me now/Flew me to places I’d never been/So you put me down/Oh. When your saddest fear comes creeping in/That you never loved me or her or anyone or anything,’ she sings.
Harry is believed to know the song is about him.
The insider said the teenage star has already moved on.
‘[He] doesn’t really care. He’s just happy to be single again,’ the source said.
Taylor has yet to confirm who the track is about.
