What Are Cold Chisel Up To?

by Paul Cashmere on January 30, 2018

in News

Cold Chisel fans are wondering what the iconic Australian band is up to following a series of cryptic tweets in recent days.

On Monday the image of a spider web appeared on the Chisel twitter account.

Then today, spider legs were added to the image.

Is there a new album on the way? Is there another tour looming? Is the band planning a reissue of their live Barking Spiders album? Is Chisel about to play a few shows under the pseudonym The Barking Spiders as they did all those years ago?

Cold Chisel played two shows in 2017 for Newcastle and Hobart. The last album for the band was ‘The Perfect Crime’ in 2015. The Barking Spiders Live album was released in 1984 after a series of warm-up gigs under that name in late ’83.

There definitely won’t be any Chisel shows in the first half of 2018. Jimmy Barnes will be touring his ‘Working Class Man: An Evening of Stories and Songs” from March through to June.
