The autopsy into the death of Whitney Houston was conducted today but the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has placed its results on hold until a toxicology test is done.
It will be six to eight weeks before the world learns what happened to Whitney although it is known she drowned in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hills Hilton.
Medication was found in the room and at this point it is not clear if her death was caused by a drug overdose or from drowning.
Police say there was no foul play and will not make any further comments until the inquiry is complete.
The Grammy Awards went ahead today with a tribute to Whitney who still holds the record for most weeks at number one for a female artist for ‘The Bodyguard’ on the Billboard chart.
It will interesting to see how that changes next week. The second longest charting number one album is ‘21’ by Adele, the current number one record. If Adele stays at number one next week she will equal Whitney’s record. Two more weeks at number one and she will beat Whitney.
