Six years after debuting on the Australian stage at Melbourne’s Regent ‘Wicked’, will return to where it began its record breaking Australian run in 2014.

‘Wicked’ is the new Pink. What Pink did for pop music ticket sales, ‘Wicked’ has done for Australian theatre.

For the 2014 season Lucy Durack, the original Australian Glinda will return t the lead role with veteran actress Maggie Kirkpatrick back as Madame Morrible.

Co-producer John Frost has announced Jemma Rix will also return as Elphaba, Glen Hogstrom will play Doctor Dillamond and newcomer Emily Casarino will be Nessarose and Edward Grey as Boq.

‘Wicked’ will reach its 10th anniversary on Broadway on October 30. There are currently nine productions active worldwide: New York, Tokyo, Auckland, Seoul, Mexico City and touring versions in both the USA and UK.

The return Australian season will begin from May 10, 2014 at the Regent Theatre, Melbourne with previews from May 7 to 9.
