Willy Mason will perform his own shows in Australia as well as his support slot on the Mumford & Sons tour.
Mason will headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne on the tour.
The tour is wrapped around his new album ‘Carry On’, his third album and follow-up to his 2007 release ‘If The Ocean Gets Tough’. The album was recorded in London by Bat For Lashes, Hot Chip producer Dan Carey.
“I think of this record as the third and final chapter to a particular narrative that started with Where the Humans Eat,” says Willy in a statement. “It’s a narrative that’s loosely based on me, on my character through performance, and I think that by completing this album, I’m sort of closing the door on that and opening up a whole new world of possibilities.”
Willie Mason’s headline shows are:
October 22, Sydney, The Vanguard
October 24, Melbourne, The Toff In Town
