With what is possibly the shortest breakup in history, Wolfmother are back together after only playing their final show on April 28 (yes, 10 weeks ago).
Andrew Stockdale will perform as Wolfmother this coming Monday in Los Angeles.
Only last month Stockdale explained the status of Wolfmother at Noise11. “I’m just doing this for now. This is something that I wanted to do. I just wanted to self-produce my own record and put it out under my own name. I didn’t think what that meant to Wolfmother. Its good to just draw a line in the sand now and say this is what it is”.
Andrew was happy to be referred to as ex-Wolfmother singer last month in the Noise11 interview. “Yeah, that might help,” he said likening his current status to when Dan Auerbach released a solo album away from The Black Keys.
Stockdale was due to perform an Australian tour in June but all dates (except one Sydney show) were cancelled days before the first show in Newcastle on June 6. The US and European dates were to go ahead as planned but they were billed as Andrew Stockdale dates, not Wolfmother, at the time.
Wolfmother will play The Troubadour in West Hollywood this Monday, July 15.
