WOMADelaide, the world music festival that takes over the South Australian capitol each year has revealed a stellar lineup for 2012.
With artists coming from all over the world and Australia, the festival has earned its reputation as one of the leading world music festivals on earth.
The festival will take place from Friday March 9 to Monday March 12 in Botanic Park, Adelaide.
The lineup includes performances from dub legend Mad Professor, Australia’s own Blue King Brown, Neil Finn’s new project Pajama Club, South African folk superstar Johnny Clegg, CHIC featuring Nile Rogers playing all of the stuff Nile Rogers played on, including songs by Madonna and more, Gurrumul, Baaba Maal, The Dirty Three. This list goes on and on. You know what? Rather than have me point out a few of my highlights, here’s the whole lot:
