It’s one of the more unlikely unions in music, master producer RZA, of hip-hop godhead Wu-Tang Clan, has a crack at the music of psychedelic rock dramatists Portugal. The Man (originally of Wasilla, Alaska, but now mostly based in Portland).
He’s taken ‘All Your Light’, from their most recent album In The Mountain In The Cloud, and chopped it up into a crunchy, creeping digital soul march.
According to Fader there is no other reason for the remix than Portugal. The Man are big fans of the RZA, asked him to do it, and he said yes.
