The Flaming Lips dip back into the Beatles’ well again, or at least of member John Lennon, with a new cover of the classic Happy Christmas (War is Over).
To add just a bit of authenticity to the new track, they’ve brought in Yoko Ono to join them.
The recording comes from the new Amazon playlist All is Bright which assembles 43 different takes on Christmas classics by, in most cases, new and/or emerging artists but does include a few veteran artists including Lucinda Williams (Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas), Liz Phair (Ho Ho Ho) and Tom Tom Club (Il Est Ne).
