The Zac Brown Band performed in the comfy 3pm slot of day one of Deni Blues and Roots Festival.

Zac also recalled how his song ‘Free’ was written in Australia eight-years ago. He said he wrote it on the beach at Byron Bay when he was on vacation in Australia but this is actually the first time the Zac Brown have performed in Australia. Monday night in Melbourne was actually their very first Australian show.

The Zac Brown Band was the first of six international acts performing at Deni Blues and Roots Festival today. Bonnie Raitt, Chris Isaak, Tony Joe White, Jason Mraz and Newton Faulkner are also performing.
