Extreme have released a music video for the ‘Six’ track ‘Hurricane.

Extreme are back in Australia for what is only their third ever Australian tour. Extreme first toured Australia in 1993 and then not again until 2018. That may seem infrequent but then again so are the albums. There have only been six Extreme albums in 35 years.

Living Colour are back in Australia for the first time since 2018 and their song of choice to open the first show of the Australian tour was Led Zeppelin’s classic ‘Rock and Roll’.

Nuno Bettencourt says Extreme are faced with a good problem to have being that the audience is loving the new music, but still wants to hear the old live. It means the band has to think hard about the setlist.

The Extreme ‘Six’ album was a long time coming. Guitarist Nuno Bettercourt blames the pandemic for the delay but was it? “The album would have been out earlier if it wasn’t for the crazy lockdown,” Nuno tells Noise11.com. “We wanted to wait. We didn’t want to be another soundtrack for the old pandemic. We wanted to celebrate this and actually tour so we waited”.

Extreme have released another track from the upcoming ‘Six’ album ahead of the Australian tour with Living Colour.

Extreme and Living Colour will extend their Australian tour with a second show for Melbourne added to the end of the tour.

Living Colour may have new music before their Australia tour but they aren’t in a rush to get the next album out.

Extreme have premiered two more songs from the upcoming ‘Six’ album, the band’s first album since 2008.

Extreme and Living Colour will double up for an Australian tour in September 2023.

Extreme have their first album since ‘Saudades de Rock’ in 2008 coming on June 9. The sixth Extreme album is called ‘Six’. The first single is ‘Rise’.

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has teamed up with Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt for a cover of The Rolling Stone’s ‘Brown Sugar’.

Extreme will perform their 1990 album Extreme II: Pornograffitti in its entirety during their early 2015 tour.
