Madonna Gets Fever After Molly ‘Love Fest’

The Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum short documentary from the Australian Music Vault has been reposted to mark the 50th anniversary of Countdown.

The very first Countdown aired in Australia on 8 November 1974, at 6:30pm on a Friday and its original duration was to fit inside a 30 minute slot.

Elton John performed the first of his last two Melbourne shows at AAMI Park on Friday night (13 January, 2023) and while the night was full of memories and emotions fans were also treated to a “full moon”, thanks to Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum.

Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum’s legacy has been permanently acknowledged following the dedication of his statue in Wangaratta Street Park in Richmond.

After the screening last Sunday night of the first of two parts for the TV mini-series “Molly”, the 3CD soundtrack set for the show leaps up eight places to land at No.1 on the ARIA Albums Chart this week.

The ‘Molly’ miniseries is a hit with Australian television viewers despite its multiple historical inaccuracies.

‘Molly – Do Yourself A Favour’, the mini-series about the life of Countdown star Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum, will be accompanied with a massive 3CD soundtrack featuring 60 songs.
