Molly Generates Over 2 Million Viewers

The Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum short documentary from the Australian Music Vault has been reposted to mark the 50th anniversary of Countdown.

The very first Countdown aired in Australia on 8 November 1974, at 6:30pm on a Friday and its original duration was to fit inside a 30 minute slot.

Elton John performed the first of his last two Melbourne shows at AAMI Park on Friday night (13 January, 2023) and while the night was full of memories and emotions fans were also treated to a “full moon”, thanks to Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum.
