Sam Smith Receives Two Guinness World Records Award

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™, the global authority on record-breaking, have presented The Killers (USA) with two certificates ahead of their gig at London’s The O2 arena on Monday night, for their hit “Mr Brightside”, which has been awarded two iconic Guinness World Records (GWR) titles.

The Flaming Lips have successfully smashed the Guinness World Record previously held by Jay-Z for most concerts performed in multiple cities after a historic road trip through the Mississippi Delta region which now ranks as the most-viewed digitally driven event in Viacom Music & Logo Group history, including generating more than 43 million votes.

The Flaming Lips are about to attempt to break the record for the most live concerts in different cities in a 24 hour period with a string of eight shows on a trail from Memphis, TN to New Orleans, LA.
