The Helpmann Awards 2015 Nominees

Live Performance Australia Chief Executive Evelyn Richardson has called on the Federal Government to protect the $2.5 billion Australian industry.

After nearly two decades in Sydney, Live Performance Australia, the producers of The Helpmanns, have announced the event will take place at Arts Centre Melbourne for the first time.

Live Performance Australia’s Evelyn Richardson has responded to New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s incompetence in dealing with the music industry by saying Berejiklian’s government’s “new regulations without any consultation reflect a government that has no strategy for supporting live music in NSW.”

Nominees for the 16th Helpmann Awards, honouring live performance in Australia, were announced on Monday night.
