Bradley Dorsey has a great pedigree. Brad is the son of music legend Engelbert Humperdinck.
Engelbert fans have heard Bradley sing before. On the 2014 Engelbert album ‘Engelbert Calling’, Brad sang a duet of the Cat Stevens’ classic ‘Father & Son’ with his father.
Now, at age 50, Bradley Dorsey has decided to do something he has wanted to do for decades … release his own album.
That album is ‘I’ve Got Dreams’. The album features and appearance from Engelbert as well as Brad’s sister Louise and his niece Olivia. He honours his dad’s songwriting with the track ‘This and That’ written by Engelbert and recorded by Tom Jones. There is also another early Engelbert song ‘A Good Thing Going’.
The bulk of the album is made up of the classics we all grew up with, songs from Bob Seger, Bob Marley, Elvis, Steppenwolf, The Manhattans, Kenny Rogers and Otis Redding. Bradley’s cover of The Beatles ‘Come Together’ features an incredible lead guitar from Australian prodigy Taj Farrant.
‘I’ve Got Dreams’ will be available worldwide from 15 December 2024.
Thank you to Brad’s brother Scott Dorsey for setting this all up and introducing us at the start.
