The friends of Darryl Cotton will gather for ‘Concert For Daz – A Celebration Of The Life Of Darryl Cotton’ on October 23 at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre.
Darryl’s closest touring buddies Jim Keays & Russell Morris will be joined by Ronnie Burns, Glenn Shorrock, Brian Cadd, Daryl Braithwaite, Debra Byrne, Lisa Edwards, Paul Norton, Wendy Stapleton and the Australian Youth Choir with special appearances from Agro and Marty Monster.
“As this is a benefit concert, we have set a one-price ticket of $69.00 including booking fee which go on sale next Monday, September 10th through all Ticketmaster outlets. All artists and crew have donated their services and Darryl’s most recent CD and Zoot T- shirt will also be on sale,” producer Jeff Joseph said.
“Everyone has rushed to put their hand up, offering their support and assistance in all aspects of putting this concert together. It’s an amazing display of how popular Darryl really was amongst his peers,” Jeff added.
AUCTION: During the interval, there will be an auction for one of Darryl’s guitars – his beautiful 6-string RICKENBACKER model 360 Fireglow (colour), together with a personal letter of authenticity written and signed by Darryl. Bidding is expected to be quite strong, so for all you guitar collectors, here’s your chance to buy a piece of history.
