Since joining ARIA as Chief Executive Officer, Dan Rosen has rejuvenated the office and brought the business end of Australia’s music business into the 21st Century.
Rosen is himself a musician, a founding member of Indie band Second Dan, early winners of Triple J Unearthed.
After his Triple J win, Dan moved to New York where he worked for digital media company ROO (now Kit Digital).
After returning to Australia for the top job at ARIA, Rosen was charged with getting the ARIA Awards right, which he successfully did. In the awards just passed, ARIA went back to focusing on the music and not television ratings with imported stars as it had done in recent years.
2012 will be a big year for Australian music and ARIA. Dan talks awards and challengers with Noise11.com’s Paul Cashmere.
