He has been the guitarist for You Am I since 1999. He was the lead singer of Melbourne Indi band The Pictures. He was part of the line-up for Aussie supergroup The Wrights. Every now and then you may have seen him as part of the Jimmy Barnes Band. Now he has a solo record. He is Davey Lane.

Lane’s first solo record is the E.P. ‘The Good Borne of Bad Tymes’. The lead song ‘You’re The Cops, I’m The Crime’ is part of the E.P. and the single includes a home demo of the song as well as a remix by M-Phazes.
