Feted folkies Dawes discuss that smooth Laurel Canyon sound, Jackson Browne’s guitar, Occupy Wall Street and more.

Los Angeles purveyors of smooth, sweet folk Dawes have made a big impression with only two albums – 2009’s North Hills and 2011’s Nothing Is Wrong.

Taylor, Griffin and Tay discuss primary songwriters, borrowing Jackson Browne’s antique guitar, the inception of the Laurel Canyon sound, nostalgia and longing, doing Bonnaroo and Coachella, and supporting the occupy Wall Street movement.
