It may have been 10 years since the last Don Walker solo album but in between ‘Hully Gully’ (2013) and ‘Lightning in a Clear Blue Sky’ Don has released two albums with Cold Chisel, one with Tex Don & Charlie, a live album, a box set and two books.
‘Lightning in a Clear Blue Sky’ is a concise eight track 38 minute album features stories, observations and some home truths.
Don Walker spoke with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere and takes you track by track through ‘Lightning in a Clear Blue Sky’.

On so it ends … for Australia anyway. Cold Chisel The Big 5-O tour played its last date in Sydney last night (4 December 2024) but there are still three more New Zealand shows scheduled for January 2025.
December 5, 2024 Cold Chisel brought their The Big 5-0 show to Melbourne’s iconic Sydney Myer Music Bowl for two nights on Friday and Saturday. It was the first time Chisel had performed at the Bowl since 2005.
