Jazz vocal star Katie Noonan keeps the bewitching music coming as she chats about the new album from Elixir.

Noonan’s astonishing voice first hit Australian ears as part of the beloved Brisbane act george, but from that very first self-titled album, Kate’s name rang out as a stunning new talent.

Never to waste her gifts, Noonan has recorded jazz and operatic duets with her mother Maggie, a jazz cycle with legend Paul Grabowski, collaborated with Tim Finn, Sia, Don Walker and Josh Pyke for Katie Noonan & The Captains, and has released three albums with the trio Elixir (also featuring her husband Zac Hurran).

Katie and Elixir join us at Noise11 to discuss a decade of music and their latest album, 2011’s First Seed Ripening.
