Stuart McLeod, Joel Quartermain and Kav Temperley formed Eskimo Joe in 1997 and released their first album ‘Girl’ in 2001.
The band from Western Australia went Gold with their first album and then double platinum with the second record ‘A Song Is A City’ (2004). It got even bigger for album three, over 200,000 sales and a 4x platinum number one album for ‘Black Fingernails, Red Wine’ (2006). Next came another number one ‘Inshalla’ (2009) and then a Top 3 with ‘Ghosts of the Past’ (2011).
For the new record ‘Wastelands’ Eskimo Joe took everyone by surprise. They split with their record label Warner Music and went it alone, crowd-funding the album.
