That original band featured Scott Phares on vocals and Terry Rae on drums. Two years later Michael Rummans joined for bass. Some early Hollywood Stars songs were later recorded by Alice Cooper (Escape) and Kiss (King of the Night Time World).

In 2024 Phares, Rae and Rummans are still there with new members George Keller and Jeff Jourard.

Jourard was a founding member of The Motels and co-writer of the hit song ‘Total Control’. He was also an early members The Heartbreakers. Tom Petty is wearing Jeff’s jacket on the first Heartbreakers album.

Hollywood Stars will release the new album Starstuck on 14 June 2024 and launch the album at the Viper Room in Hollywood on 15 June.

Jeff Jourard spoke with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere.
