Suzanne Santo and Ben Jaffe are known collectively as HoneyHoney
Their music is contemporary bluegrass drawn from influences dating back to Woody Guthrie, Gram Parsons and Buffalo Springfield.
HoneyHoney released their debut album ‘First Rodeo’ independently in 2008 and then signed with Lost Highway for their major label debut ‘Billy Jack’.
When the album was released in October, 2011 they said, “Writing this from the inside of a van in god knows where on the way to who knows what, we tend to become numb and even ignorant to the outside world and the passage of time but we are extremely proud and excited to finally release this music. Its been a longass, hardass journey but in truth, it’s still just starting. Thank you endlessly for your support, may fate find us sharing the same space soon. And getting down”.
HoneyHoney know play the major festival circuit in the USA. This year they are listed for Coachella, Newport Folk Festival and Sasquatch as well as SXSW where Noise11 caught up with them.
