Melbourne three-piece Iowa are soon to release their debut album, but on the strength of their first two E.P.s they have already gained quite a reputation around the traps.
They’re a band that aren’t afraid to wear their influences on their sleeves. Hugely influenced by 90s noise-rock such as Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, Nirvana and other bands of that ilk, they fill their sets with more fuzz pedals than you can poke a Big Muff at.
Speaking of their live shows, they’re not for the faint hearted. The band have been known to offer free earplugs at the door to protect fans from their overwatted onslaught of fuzz guitars. In other words, they’re f*@king loud.
Check out their interview with Tim Cashmere as they talk about the 90s, being loud and the band’s upcoming album.
