Brother and Sister Jesse and Ella Hooper were just teenagers when they dominated the Australian chart with their debut album ‘Reflector’ back in March 2000.
‘Reflector’ was a number one album in Australia. The single ‘Mascara’ also reached number one and their debut single ‘Weir’ was top 10.
There were only three albums from 2000 to 2004 and then Killing Heidi split but Ella and Jesse are now regularly seen on the Australian festival circuit.
They used played One Electric Day, will head out in 2005 for Red Hot Summer and they will also been seen on the very special Summer Fun Fest in the Yarra Valley.
Summer Fun Fest features Jon Stevens, Daryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, The Black Sorrows, Killing Heidi and Chocolate Starfish at Rochford Wines, Yarra Valley, on Sunday 16th February 2025.
Summer Fun Fest is a charity event helping struggling families.
CEO and Founder Mary Toniolo said, “This is our first ever music event. We are going to bring many major events to the people and for the people, with support going to HELPING FAMILIES AND YOUNG PEOPLE DOING IT TOUGH. Join our mailing list, there’s lots coming up!
This year we provided toys for Victorian children to Anglicare and other major charities. Working with our partners, we will expand this Australia-wide in 2025 to put smiles on children’s faces.
The Arts is a very important area, and we believe that if we support, encourage and mentor children and young people, we can help give them a pathway for their future. We want to level the playing field for these children, young adults and families. Creativity is not based on a postcode; it should be for everyone.
We’re excited to help discover the next Beethoven, Picasso or even Kylie! Let’s support the next generation of artistic talent.”
