Leo Sayer’s ‘Northern Songs’ is a labour of love that has been a work in process for years. ‘Northern Songs’ is Leo’s tribute to The Beatles.
Leo started recording the songs of his favourite band The Beatles originally as a project that has now evolved into an entire album.
While the term ‘Northern Songs’ refers to the publishing of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, two non-Northern Songs (in the literal sense of the term) by George Harrison are also included.
For this special interview with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere, Leo Sayer has generously given us his time to give you a detailed explanation of what went into every song.
The tracklisting for ‘Northern Songs’ is:
1. Eleanor Rigby
2. Strawberry Fields Forever
