You may have first heard Lisa Edwards vocals back in the 80s even if you didn’t know her name. Lisa sang on Real Life’s ‘Send Me An Angel’. John Farnham first used Lisa’s voice on his 1988 ‘Age of Reason’ album and she was a staple of his live shows for decades.
Lisa’s own music is few and far between. Her new album ‘I’m Still The Woman’ comes 16 years after its predecessor ‘State of the Heart’.
I’m Still The Women’ is a wonderfully consistent album with beautiful harmonies and 9 and the 11 songs written by Lisa mostly with producer Michael Cristiano.
The Helen Reddy classic ‘I Am Woman’ opens the album and the closer is an original song for Lisa by Grammy Award winner Randy Goodrum ‘I’m Still The Woman’, which is also the title track of the album.
Lisa Edwards spoke with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere.
