Holden Brothers Travelling Circus is another chapter in Mark Holden’s musical journey that has taken him through pop star to TV star to songwriter to musician.
Everything Holden has touched has turned to Gold … quite literally. As one of Australia’s most well-known popstars of the 70s Mark Holden became a household name with a sting of hits including ‘Never Gonna Fall In Love Again’, ‘I Wanna Make You My Lady’, ‘Last Romance’, ‘Hey My Love’ and ‘Reach Out For The One Who Loves You’.
In the 00’s he applied his songwriting skills to deliver a global smash for Vanessa Amorosi with ‘Absolutely Everybody’ as well as ‘Shine’ and ‘A Year Ago Today’ for Delta Goodrem’s 15 times platinum about ‘Innocent Eyes’.
Holden Brothers Travelling Circus is Mark’s latest project and the one he is most passionate about. The start of this story dates back to 1892 to when Adolphus Holden founded the Holden Brothers Travelling Circus.
What Adolphus started became a family tradition passed down from generation to generation right through to the current generation.
For the past few years Mark has been writing songs based on his family history and legacy.
Mark Holden joined Paul Cashmere at Noise11.com to talk about the Holden Brothers Travelling Circus.
