2021 marks 40 years since Hunters & Collectors started. Between 1982 and 1998 the band released nine studio albums. Since 1997, lead singer Mark Seymour has now released 10 solo or The Undertow albums passing his H&C output in 2020 with his latest album ‘Slow Down’.
Mark has quite the legacy. Hunters & Collectors became one of Australia’s most powerful pub rock bands of the 80s and 90s, while as a solo artist Mark has become an Australian storyteller in song.
Hunters & Collectors occasionally reform. The last time for Red Hot Summer was sidetracked with bushfires, floods and eventually Covid. Make-up shows are planned for later in 2021.
Solo, with The Undertow, sees Mark in more intimate locations. His upcoming Memo Music Hall performances April 2 and 3 will be truly special.
