Gil Matthews’ Aztec Records as uncorked previously unreleased ‘Ariel The Live Adventures of’ concerts from 1975, 1976 and 1997.
During the 70s Mike Rudd formed Spectrum, created the Spectrum alter-ego Murtceps (Spectrum spelt backwards) and then Ariel.
These historic recording feature Harvey James, who was in Ariel for a very short time before joining Sherbet for ‘Howzat’.
Mike Rudd caught up with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere to tell the story of these recordings, the time he recorded at Abbey Road and the incredibly short period where he co-founded three now classic Aussie bands.
