One of Australia’s stage greats Nancye Hayes will become the aged Edith Bouvier Beale in the Production Company production of ‘Grey Gardens’, on from November 25 to December 4 at the Playhouse in Melbourne.

Nancye is a familiar face to Australian television viewers. She has had roles in Home and Away, Blue Heelers, GP and The Dismissal.

Nancye Hayes began her career in Sydney in the 60s and scored the lead role in Sweet Charity in 1967.

‘Grey Gardens’ is directed by Roger Hodgman also stars Pamela Rabe, James Millar, John O’May, Liz Siles, Alex Rathgeber and Bert LaBonte.

Nancye spoke with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere.
