New Zealander Pamela Stephenson began her career in 1972 as an actor on the Australian television show Ryan. After relocating to the UK, she became a part of the Not The Nine O’Clock News line-up with Rowan Atkinson and Mel Smith and bets known for her musical parodies of the stars of the day like Kate Bush and Olivia Newton-John.
She met her husband Billy Connolly on the set of Not The Nine O’Clock News and the couple married in Fiji in 1989.
