Since 1986 when Boom Crash Opera first charted with ‘Great Wall’, the songs of Peter Farnan have never been far from us. The band had 10 Top 40 singles which alone make a dynamic setlist.
Peter was a member of Serious Young Insects before Boom Crash Opera and as well as his solo work has worked for Melbourne Theatre Company and Malthouse Theatre and on soundtracks for The Sapphires and The Boy Castaways.
Peter’s new solo album is titled ‘Home’ and thanks to the long lockdowns and restrictions, was recorded at home mostly with his family with a few friends (including Richard Pleasance) contributing along the way.
Peter spoke with Noise11.com’s Paul Cashmere.
