The Production Company will return in Melbourne for its 17th season including its 50th production on 11 July, 2015.
The Production Company chairman Jeanne Pratt AC and Artistic Direct Ken Mackenzie Forbes AM launched the 2015 season announcing their 50th show will be ‘West Side Story’ in July.
“We open our 2015 season with our 50th show and to celebrate we are presenting what I believe is the best musical ever written. It’s Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Robbins, Arthur Laurentis and Stephen Sondheim’s West Side Story,” Jeanne Pratt announced. “Outstanding Australian stars and eminent creative teams are a feature of this year of celebration,” Jeanne added.
The 2015 season will also include ‘Nice Work If You Can get It’ from August 15 and then ‘Jerry’s Girls’ on November 21.
‘West Side Story’ will run for 10 performances. The director is Gale Edwards. The stars Anna O’Byrne, Gareth Keegan, Deome Zanotto and Adam Florentino.
‘Nice Work If You Can Get It’ runs for 10 performances from 15 August. The director is Roger Hodgman. The stars Rohan Browne, Ester Hannaford and Christie Whelan-Browne.
The final show for 2015 is ‘Jerry’s Girls’ directed by Dean Bryant and starring Rhonda Burchmore, Nancye Hayes, Silvie Paladino, Christie Whelan-Browne and Kirby Burgess. The show will run for 17 performances from November 21.
