The Production Company line-up for 2016 has been revealed with three shows ‘Funny Girl’, ‘Curtains’ and ‘Dusty’ to be performed this season.
‘Dusty’, written by John-Michael Howson, David Mitchell and Melvyn Morrow, debuted a decade again. It tells the story of the rise of 60s pop star Dusty Springfield and her demons in later life.
The 2016 production of ‘Dusty’ will star Amy Lehpamer and Todd McKenney.
Making its Australian premiere is ‘Curtains’, a Broadway hit first spotted four years ago by The Production Company founder Jeanne Pratt in New York. ‘Curtains’ will star Simon Gleeson.
Kicking off the 2016 season The Production Company will revive its very first show from 18 years ago ‘Funny Girl’ with Caroline O’Connor in the starring role.

Funny Girl, State Theatre, July 23 – 31, 10 shows
Curtains, State Theatre, August 20 – 28, 10 shows
Dusty, The Playhouse, 12-27 November, 17 shows
The Production Company was founded in 1999 by Jeanne Pratt AC. Directors Ken Mackenzie-Forbes and Rachel Taylor joined The Production Company in 1999 and have worked on every musical in the company’s inception.
