The Soul Movers were faced with a challenge to record their new album ‘Evolution’. That thing called Covid, a lockdown and the inability to travel meant that Lizzie Mack and Murray Cook would make the record in hometown Sydney.
Garth Porter’s Rancom Street Studios were available and a homegrown record was born.
‘Evolution’ is actually an evolution form The Soul Movers. This album takes the early soul of Soul Movers and evolves into pop, rock … dare we say … even disco.
Murray Cook and Lizzie Mack caught up with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere.
The Soul Movers will launch ‘Evolution’ for Melbourne on Saturday 24 April 2021 at Cherry Bar. Get tickets https://www.cherrybar.com.au/events/soul-movers-album-launch/
