The Whitlams’ Tim Freedman has released his first solo album ‘Australian Idle’, his first album of new music since the last album from The Whitlams ‘Little Cloud’ almost six years ago.
The title represents what Tim is “Australian” and what he has been “Idle”. He went idle when he became a dad six years ago. It is also a clever play on words with Australian Idol.
For ‘Australian Idle’, Tim wrote about his friends and his surroundings. He has also covered the Billy Field 80s hit ‘You Weren’t In Love With Me’.
Tim dropped by Noise11.com and talks about the album with Paul Cashmere.
