Waleed Aly and Kim Salmon team up for a track on Volume II of The Key Of Sea — the revolutionary, cross-cultural collaboration project.
The first Key Of Sea compilation was a revelation, bringing together the talents of contemporary Australian artists with a culturally rich assembly of musicians from a migrant background. The second volume is out now, featuring Paul Kelly, Lanie Lane, Brous, Chet Faker, Jinja Safari and more creating fresh new songs with artists originally hailing from backgrounds as diverse as Cambodia, South Africa and the Pacific Islands.
We sit down with broadcaster, journalist and aspiring rock star Waleed Aly and Australian rock figurehead Kim Salmon to discuss their contribution ‘Client JGT683′, the vision of the collection, the forthcoming one-off concert, and more.
