Canadian born Wendy Matthews is one of Australia’s greatest voices.
After an apprenticeship as a member of Models and then Absent Friends, Wendy went on to deliver three of the biggest Australian albums of the 90s with ‘Émigré’, ‘Lily’ and ‘The Witness Tree’ and a string of hits with ‘Token Angels’, ‘Woman’s Gotta Have It’, ‘Lets Kiss’, ‘The Day You Went Away’ and ‘Fridays Child’.
It has been 12 years since Wendy released an album of original songs. Her new album is ‘The Welcome Fire’.
