Melbourne band Husky first made waves when Triple J Unearthed earned them a slot on the Push Over Festival.
Album one ‘Forever So’ was delivered in 2012 and in October, 2015 Husky released ‘Rucker’s Hill’, the result of a superfast songwriting session for Husky Gawenda and Gideon Preiss.
Melbourne was a backdrop of inspiration with lyrics for the new album were written on a typewriter and ideas flourished from their Collingwood surrounds. Husky’s words sprung from early hours reading a Leonard Cohen book ‘Beautiful Losers’ in a Smith Street Collingwood.
Ruskers Hill is very Melbourne. The location is a spot in the Melbourne inner-city suburb of Northcote.
Husky Gawenda and Gideon Preiss dropped into Noise11.com to perform ‘Heartbeat’.
