Taste have released the new album ‘Life On Earth’ and performed the song ‘I Am God’ for Nosie11.com.
The legendary Taste is Ken Murdoch, Joey Amenta, Michael Tortoni and Damian Corniola. Murdoch, Tortoni and original drummer Virgil Donati formed their first band under the name Cloud 9 before becoming Taste after their manager at the time Chris Nolan tried to name them Fancy to score an ice-cream ad.
Taste became the youngest band at the time to sign to Warner Music Australia. “I started singing in shitholes when I was 15. By the time I was 17 I was a veteran of pub rock alongside of Joey and Michael,” Ken Murdoch said. “We had been booed, spat upon and ignored until we got it right and that’s something bands don’t have. The opportunity to hone their skills anymore. BUT once you get it right and that crowd love you, something magical happens between the two of you. I don’t see that happen much anymore”.
Check out Taste as they head across Australia in July.
